St.Joseph Catholic School Music Program

Middle School Band

Our students in 5th and 6th Grade are in Beginning Band and 7th and 8th grade are in Advanced Band, as well as serve as mentors for the Beginning Band.
Through music processes such as performing, creating, and responding to music, our students have the opportunity to develop music knowledge and skills which will accompany them throughout their lifetime, and allow them to develop their faith and express their spirituality.

Our Wonderful Volunteers

Mrs. Guy and Freddie the Frog are our wonderful Volunteers that help out during general music and performances. They help our younger students learn about music fundamentals, and have fun playing games to bring the joy of music to all of our students.

In the Third Grade

Our third graders are ready for more group work and occasionally work independently. They also better understand consequences, and can therefore be given more opportunities to make more choices. We work more extensively with choir chimes.

These are great instruments, which allow students to work together as a group and continue to develop their music reading skills.
