[Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults]

St. Joseph presents a series of sessions to share with others the truths of the Catholic faith and the fellowship of our church family.

These sessions also are opportunities for you, and others that you may wish to invite, to ask those perplexing and difficult questions you may have about the Church.  The sessions are intended for people who are not Catholic or who have not completed their initiation as Catholics.  Sessions are held on Sundays from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

We invite you to learn what Catholics believe in an open and welcoming environment.

Please, give us a call if you have questions, would like further information, or need directions, at 864-225-5341.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process persons go through when they are inquiring into entering the Church.  We have weekly meetings (Sundays 9:30am-10:30am) where the Catholic faith is presented topic-by-topic.  Eash session is held with an eye towards helping people of all backgrounds come to better understanding of what we believe as Catholic Christians and, why.

While RCIA originated as a way to prepare non-Catholics for entering the Church, we also welcome those who grew up in the Catholic faith who haven’t received all the sacraments yet or anyone who simply wants to learn more about God, Catholics, or Catholicism. The RCIA ministry is the mission of some Catholics to share their time, talents, and experience helping others to learn about the faith. We welcome any and all Catholics who might be interested in helping us in this vital mission to come and spend time with the group and maybe even to sponsor a new Catholic!

If you might be interested in helping us welcome newcomers into the Church, please call Father Paul (225-5341) or just come to a meeting and we can go from there.
