Saturday Servants
The Saturday Servant community outreach provides lunches on Saturday and Sunday for those individuals receiving meals from the Anderson Soup Kitchen. St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and School are responsible for the month of December. Volunteers make approximately 150-200 bag lunches for Saturday and Sunday, which can total between 300-400 lunches. After the lunches are prepared, some of the volunteers will go to the Anderson Soup Kitchen to distribute the lunches. Volunteers are needed to make sandwiches, bag lunches, clean-up, and deliver. This outreach is a great way to meet fellow members of the parish and share fellowship with parish members all while providing a ministry for those in need during the holiday season. This is a wonderful way to bestow warmth, cheer, and hope to those who need it the most during the holiday season.
