SJCCS is a member of the Anderson Church Athletic Association along with a number of other churches in Anderson. We offer a basketball program that is available for boys and girls ages 4-17 with co-ed leagues for ages 4-9 and boys and girls teams for ages 10-17. This league plays its games on week nights and Saturdays in various locations within Anderson. Our teams are open for children who attend St. Joseph’s school and/or children who are involved with the parish's RE or youth ministry. We hope to include children from our sister parish in Anderson, St. Mary’s of the Angels, this year and are excited about that.
Our teams practice at Orrville Baptist Church in Anderson. Orrville’s children play on our teams as well and we get to use their gymnasium. We will practice on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings until the season starts. Once the season starts we will practice on Mondays only.
Parents volunteer to coach our teams and we are always looking for help. All of our coaches must have the VIRTUS training.
The cost to play is $30 per player and $50 per family for those that have more than one player. We look forward to another successful season.
