The PTO plays a diverse role at St. Joseph School, which includes sponsoring various events and lending support to the school and its staff. We coordinate the hot lunch program, provide volunteers for various school activities, and contribute to the promotion of the school through public relations efforts.
The PTO also aims to bridge the gap between home and school by planning fun activities for families to enjoy together. Some of these activities include the “Welcome Back” party, the school and parish-wide Fall Festival, a Catholic Schools Week dance, Veteran’s and Grandparent’s Day celebrations, and a talent show. We plan various service projects for local charities and families throughout the school year, and our PTO works to enrich the religious education of the students by providing fun ways to celebrate our faith, including coordinating the Rosary Club and observing various feast days throughout the year.
All the PTO activities that the parents, teachers and students participate in are at no additional cost to the parents. The only PTO fundraiser is the Elves' Workshop, which is a great way for the students to buy small Christmas gifts for their family members. The profits fund the various service projects and school events for the year.
